Privacy Policy

At Go Tools, privacy isn't just a feature — it's the foundation of how we build our tools. This policy explains what we collect (very little), how we use it, and your rights.

Last updated: March 16, 2026

100% Browser-Based Processing

All tool processing happens entirely in your browser. Your data never leaves your device.

What We Don't Collect

Let's start with the most important part — what we never collect:

Tool Input Data

JSON, text, encoded strings, and any other data you enter into our tools.

Generated Results

Output produced by our tools — formatting results, encoded values, generated UUIDs, etc.

Personal Information

Names, emails, or identifying details (unless you contact us directly).

Browsing Patterns

Detailed usage history, tool activity tracking, or behavioral profiling.

File Contents

Any files you upload for processing — they stay entirely in your browser.

All tool processing happens entirely in your browser. Your data never touches our servers.

How Our Tools Work

Every tool on Go Tools is designed to run client-side using JavaScript. Here's the process:

1

Download Code

Your browser downloads the tool's HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

2

Enter Data

You input your data directly into the tool interface.

3

Local Processing

JavaScript processes your data locally on your device.

4

Display Results

Results are rendered right in your browser.

5

Data Gone

Close the tab or navigate away, and the data is cleared.

At no point does your input data get sent to our servers or any third party.

Cookies & Tracking

Minimal Cookies for Basic Functionality

Preference cookies: To remember your language selection and theme preferences.

Analytics: We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand general usage patterns (page views, not personal data).

We do not use tracking cookies that follow you across websites or build advertising profiles.

Third-Party Services

Services We Use

To keep Go Tools free, we display advertisements on our site. Our advertising partners may use cookies to serve relevant ads and collect anonymous usage data for ad performance.

These advertising services operate independently of our tools. The data you process in our tools is never shared with advertising partners.

We may also use:

  • CDN services: To deliver our website quickly and reliably
  • Error monitoring: To identify and fix bugs (no personal data is included)

Changes to This Policy

Staying Up to Date

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of Go Tools after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
